How do I apply?
What do I need to do?
If you don't have a blue card or exemption card or your card has expired...
All blue card applications for foster or kinship carers and their adult household members must be completed as part of the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services’ eligibility process to become a foster or kinship carer. More information can be obtained from the department by contacting your local Child Safety Service Centre.
If you already have a current blue card or exemption card...
If you already hold a current blue card or exemption card, the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services will need to determine if it is still valid. To do this, you must complete a Link an applicant/cardholder to this organisation form (PDF, 178KB).
How much will it cost?
There is no application fee for foster and kinship carers, or adults occupants of a household.
