North Queensland Floods
Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the recent floods. If you have lost your blue card/exemption card and/or positive notice due to these events, Blue Card Services will be waiving the $13.65 replacement fee. To waive the fee please complete a statutory declaration advising of the loss as a result of flood and attach this to your 'Card/notice lost or stolen' form.
New way to apply – Blue card (new and renewal) and exemption card applications
Blue Card Services has taken its first steps towards an online form by creating a new application form. The form has built-in smarts to make sure you give us all the information we need on the first go. You will still have to get your identification verified so make sure you follow all of the instructions, including printing the form at the end.
If you prefer to fill the form manually (the old way) that’s ok too! You can still access the individual forms via the forms page.
How to renew a card
You use the same application form to apply for a new card or renew your card (including if your previous card has expired).

How long will my blue card take?
As a guide, allow at least 28 business days for processing where an application is completed in full and where there is no police or disciplinary information.
If more information is required to process or assess your application, then your application may take longer to process.
If you are concerned that you have not heard from Blue Card Services after 28 working days and you have not been requested to provide further information or have a criminal history, please contact us.
