Transition to the Department of Justice and Attorney-General
On 1 October 2016, the administration of the blue card system transitioned from the Public Safety Business Agency (PSBA) to the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
New forms, new online payment service and web service to upload your application forms online
New forms are now available on the website. Please ensure that you access the most current version of the application forms going forward to avoid processing delays.
While there is minimal changes to the blue card application forms, there have been some name changes for other forms:
- the Authorisation to confirm a valid card/application form is now called the Link an applicant/cardholder to this organisation form
- the Identification verification by a prescribed person form is now called the Confirmation of Identity form
- the Authority to liaise with an authorised person form is now called the Consent to discuss information form.
New online payment service
If payment is required and you want to pay by credit card, you can now do this online. This replaces the previous process where people provided their credit card details on the form. Please note that applications for volunteers will continue to be processed free of charge.
Click on the 'Pay Online' button on the homepage. Please check your form first to confirm whether payment is required.
Upload forms online
You can now upload a completed copy of your blue card application form or other forms through the website for immediate lodgement.
Click on the 'Submit a completed form' button on the homepage.
