A summary of recent research, reports and policy activities can be viewed in the Commission’s latest policy and research scan.

Highlights from Issue 36 (April 2013) include an annual report by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare evaluating state and territory child protection and support services, an evaluation of six demonstration projects aimed at improving the sexual health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, an Anglicare Australia report into rental affordability for low income earners and an Australian Institute of Family Studies report which identified gaps in children’s access to and participation in preschool programs.
