Regulated business

Hostels for children other than a residential facility

A person carrying on a business needs a blue card if:

  • the usual activities of the business include, or are likely to include-
    • providing child accommodation services, other than a residential facility; and
    • the child accommodation services are funded by the Commonwealth Government, or through the Queensland department administering the Education (General Provisions) Act 1989 (currently the Department of Education and the Arts).

The business is not a regulated business if:
