Your rights

As a young person in the child safety or juvenile justice systems, you have the right to complain about:

• Child protection issues – are you being harmed emotionally or physically?
• Services you have a right to receive – for example education, training, health, counselling and support
• Advocacy on your behalf – for example if you have a disability, in the juvenile justice system or you are in care of the State.
